Many companies, young entrepreneurs, artists and designers slowly but surely understand the responsibility and obligation that we, as a young generation, have to the sustainability of our nature, culture and roots. We now know that we have to learn from our past to have a better future, and more so, we know that in the world of immediacy, and the chaotic speed of life in which we now live, ancestral wisdom, and handcrafted pieces are the true new luxury. And this luxury encompass all sorts of implementations of handmade artisanal developments, techniques and products. One of a kind pieces, uniquely made products, and original, real story telling are the future.
From 2017 Manuela Álvarez has dedicated part of her career and time, to develop a consulting line of work, in which she has put her expertise in artisanal work and co-creation projects with indigenous and traditional artisans from all over Colombia, to help allies like Gobernacion de Cundinamarca and private brands, to work with artisan communities in a respectful, collaborative, sustainable and innovative manner.
